I thought that too Jan - and I have only heard that via my brother!

And Puzzle Park has been shut for at least 3 years now I think. We went while it was still open and walked around amazed at what was allowed to be operational .... obviously we weren't the only ones as safety regulations were what caused it to be shut down! It's going to be an elderly residential home now.

You guys need to get out and about more .... there's some glorious places here! You just need to broaden the horizons perhaps?

I haven't got an overrated place. I shouldn't be writing on this thread at all as I love the country I chose to live in!

I have travelled all over the country. There are a few interesting places worth a visit, particularly in the NT. The rest is, in my opinion, overrated.

By the way, I didn't choose to live here... and I still don't. I am here because of family commitments. My family is the only reason I am still here.

There are some marvelous natural wonders to visit in Oz but you have to drive for days to find them normally. It means lots of time, a decent 4 wheel drive, and camping equipment. NT and Northern WA are my favourite areas.

Road trips ARE great but the towns to me all seemed very samey and bland - - with the fast food joints, K Mart, empty pub - like the mid West of the US but with cleaner toilets (which you always need a key for!)

The scenery here is no better than can be found anywhere else including in Britain.

I don't see how places like the great ocean road are any more scenic than the Pembrokeshire, Cornish or Irish coastlines

There is plenty of beautiful scenery in Britain....most of Australia is simply bland

In fact, how about an immediate blanket ban on visitors to perf... Wonder if the government would pass a law in time...

I know!!! spoilsport!.If the shoe was on the other foot and Daniel Craig was coming out of the surf and invited the Mrs in, I would have let her have a frolic.Things like that don't happen too often.Not to me anyway.
