Re: What's for lunch?
Tonight I had a small breast of cooked chicken and 3 rice crackers as I have no appetite and have to force food down. I never ate the sweet potato for lunch, just had some more rice crackers and the yoghurt, a small piece of cheese and 4 cherry tomatoes.

You've lost the friggin plot man  It's my version of a mid-life crisis, some blokes buy sports cars but I decide that grains/legumes/dairy (cream a notable exception ;)) ain't that good for me. AND I get to eat a shedload of (nitrate free ... probably) bacon. Mmmm, saturated fat, love it. ;) |
Re: What's for lunch?

Yup, he'd been given a cheeseburger with nothing in it. Just a plain bap:blink::lol: They owe him apparently:rofl:

Re: What's for lunch?
A slice of home made banana and walnut GF bread. I have to walk around Warringah mall all day as the car is being serviced from 7:30 till 3pm. (No courtesy car.)
oooops- I'd better go and drive there now or I'll be late. |
Re: What's for lunch?
I feel really bad now, packed the teen off to school with a pile of vegemite sandwiches:lol: apples and mandarins. Real fancy:D
Was running really late easy to do when school starts at 7.25. |
Re: What's for lunch?
Tiddler, for the first time in her life, went off to school after bacon eggs and mushrooms. QCS today, school Hospitality Majors usually provide breakfast for them. This year they were told to only provide toast. She was not a happy bunny yesterday afternoon. Guess I'll have to do the same tomorrow. :D

Good luck with the QCS, arse of a test! Son last year - dyslexia - no allowance for that, so marked down for his spelling:sneaky:. Bit like marking down someone who is deaf for not being able to hear. |

They had an 'inspirational' guy come in yesterday to 'support' them. Tiddler came home beyond rage and cried for half an hour because he'd been such a ****wit. Nothing like getting the students totally freaked and upset just before two days of pressure. :demon: |

What pisses me off is that it's such a pointless exercise. It doesn't add to the OP, the kids only do it if they're OP eligible so they're going to get their QCE anyway and Uni and future employers couldn't give a rats about it.
I remember a 'stressful' test back in primary school years - where half the boys filled in the answers at random. |

If this test has no bearing on any result - is that what you are saying, can you just turn up and write your name. Serious, not completely flippant answer.

I guess, in theory but they're all intelligent students who obviously want to do as well as they can. It's complicated, it shows up on their QCE (HSC) but as it's, in the main, only the OP students doing it (OP being our equivalent of ATAR for Uni entrance) it's kind of guaranteed that these students will graduate anyway, it adds nothing but they have to do it. It's very hard to get a great score in, even amazingly brilliant students can end up with a C. In the last three years, I can only remember 5 students getting an A and the students who got full scholarships from various unis, who are in the top 5% in the State have ended up with Bs and Cs. Grrrrr it's just frustrating.

Re: What's for lunch?
The sweet potato with tuna that I should have eaten yesterday followed by an orange and a yoghurt.
