You could combine the two, Dorothy. There's a knitting cafe near me called A Coffee and a Yarn.

Long weekend in NSW so we took Friday off as well to make it a really long weekend. Decided to go for our first weekend away since we got here and drove down to Mollymook on south coast. Shame about the weather, but been nice seeing somewhere different, a couple of towns have had markets on and we have bought some bits and pieces. We think we will head back early tomorrow and avoid the traffic. Then we are going to wash the car, we went through a national park area earlier in the rain, looks like we have been rally driving in it.

Saturday - I woke up late after a 12 hour sleep = WOW NOT DONE THAT IN AGES!
I then popped over to a mates house to help her with her daughter's 6th birthday party, I then left there and did a bit of shopping. Last night I sat in alone (as the OH is away on a 5 week exercise up in Townsville) with a curry and managed a glass and a half of wine before giving up.
Sunday - After waking up late AGAIN (yes a further 12 hour sleep! WOO HOO) I made some brekkie, prepared lunches for school for the next two days, stuck some washing on, brought my ironing up into the lounge and have now sat down with my first cup of tea for the day. The OH has just phoned and I'm now feeling a bit pants @ the prospect of not seeing him for another 4 weeks at least, but hey ho, such is the army life. Tonight my brother, his wife and my niece are skyping me, so that's something to look forward to.
Monday (not technically the weekend I know) - I start a new teaching contract which will keep me busy for the next few weeks, it's a Grade 5 class so I'll have plenty of marking which will keep me occupied!
Roll on the end of the month when the OH comes home, he's been texting loads so I can't complain, but I will, as you know! I think this is the longest we've been apart since we met, so obviously I'm not over the moon! In another few days he'll be going out bush so I won't hear from him for a week or two, which won't be easy at all, then again my mate's hubby is also away on the same exercise, so I'll pop over and keep her and her kids company.

Oh trust me, it's only because it's the school hols, once I start back to work I become SOOOOO lax with chores etc, I've loads of 'meals for one' frozen in the freezer too, as it's also hard to get motivated when you're only cooking for one!

Saturday and Sunday had beautiful weather! yay!
Sat morning worked, Sat arvo watched COLLINGWOOD thrash St Kilda, more yay!
Collingwood are now called the flagpies and The Saints are called the Aints.
After the footy cut the grass at work (including the nature strips). Had dinner, got pissed.
Today went to Aldi - walked about in the sun! Cut the grass at home. Will sit outside and have dinner. Brill.
Next weekend is wedding anniversary, so off to Melbourne for a couple of days.
