Thumbs down weather

Somewhere on here there was a thread concerning global warming--just to add to that.The site 'fire and ice'[or ice and fire]has made the following forecasts based[I think on sunspot activity or lack of it];
Major snow storms;25th/31st Dec',north east USA,also very bad weather UK/NW Europe AND South East Queensland[didn't specify what this was---perhaps a typhoon???]
Anyone seen any reports of similar--interesting to see if any accuracy in these.

Well the US would be covered by the US forums and info about emergency weather info is a red sticky at the top of the Australia forum and a few posts down is one about SEQLD both with related BOM links. However all of us in SEQLD have been living the sodding weather for weeks now so we know it's happening.

Cool Re: weather

Sorry about the error!!![a large amount of wind!!!].The website article seemed to be suggesting something way in excess of the somewhat abnormal.
here in the UK[very frozen]the Met' office forecasts are only reliable for a few days hence and they seem to be suggesting a slightly more temperate period[ie slightly above zero]PS I hate this bl---dy weather

no problem, its just terminology - basically the same thing, but it has different names in different parts of the world - hurricane/cyclone/typhoon
