Somewhere on here there was a thread concerning global warming--just to add to that.The site 'fire and ice'[or ice and fire]has made the following forecasts based[I think on sunspot activity or lack of it];
Major snow storms;25th/31st Dec',north east USA,also very bad weather UK/NW Europe AND South East Queensland[didn't specify what this was---perhaps a typhoon???]
Anyone seen any reports of similar--interesting to see if any accuracy in these.:frown:

Well the US would be covered by the US forums and info about emergency weather info is a red sticky at the top of the Australia forum and a few posts down is one about SEQLD both with related BOM links.:D However all of us in SEQLD have been living the sodding weather for weeks now so we know it's happening. ;)

Sorry about the error!!![a large amount of wind!!!].The website article seemed to be suggesting something way in excess of the somewhat abnormal.
here in the UK[very frozen]the Met' office forecasts are only reliable for a few days hence and they seem to be suggesting a slightly more temperate period[ie slightly above zero]PS I hate this bl---dy weather:frown:

no problem, its just terminology - basically the same thing, but it has different names in different parts of the world - hurricane/cyclone/typhoon ;)
