Unlike you we have no home to go back to in the uk sold everything to come to Perth.
We are now having to send all our furntiure we have bought here back to the uk and are having to start again on the property ladder, we sold two cars and I give up a job I had been doing for 22 years, where do we start when we get back?
We have also got a car and a holden hilux to sell before 6th october if anyone interested?

Well we have been here for 4 short months and now going back to the uk on 6th october.
We came over here on a 457 visa , hubby is a plasterer and his boss has been an arsehole from day one and has now decided he doesnt want to sponser us, we have 28 days to find another sponser but I have been trying to do this for the past 2 months without any luck.
We sold our home to move to Perth for a better way of life with our two daughters but since my hubbys boss has made it impossible for us we have ne choice but to go back to the uk and try to start again.
We have found it very difficult to get a new sponser because all the building trade want sub contractors and on a 457 visa we cant do it, if anyone is coming out here on a 457 visa please dont make the same mistake we have make sure you have a decent boss not an arsehole like we did.

I quite agree with Ruby shoes - get the B*****d to pay your flights home. Immigration should be able to persuade him that he is responsible for that....
I take it there are no other onshore grantable (thus bridging visa grantable) visa's you can apply for? Can you get en ETA and spend those 3 months looking for a new sponsor? Or is the decision made?

Alas, no beach - its not that good - sat in front of a computer in an office block desperately trying to find stuff to do! Been there done it -its soul destroying. Yes, he has had one to one meetings to try and improve the situation but no joy. To make matters worse, there is absolutely no office banter, its heads down and work (albeit imaginary work!) from 9 til 5.

I'm PR having transferred from the same company in the UK.
We've already had one round of redundancies and there are rumours today of a further cull next week.
Half of me wants to get away as soon as I can, but the other (sensible) half of me tells me I need to stay there due to financial responsibilities, lack of support network and seemingly few opportunities in my line of work.
Mind-numbing and soul destroying days and sleepless nights do not make for a happy household

If I had the option of getting on a plane and returning to the relative peace of mind my previous life back in the UK offered me (and us), I'd be off like a shot. Sadly this is not an option and is not likely to be so for at least another 18 months, so it's a case of digging in, being prepared, and being strong.
Best wishes to you and your OH. I'm sure it will all work out and you'll be back in leafy Cheshire before too long.
