Cheers...my son has no urge to go back so not pushing it and we have zero urge so don't feel the need as rel's all keep coming here at present. Like you say pro's and con's to both and eating out and staying in hotels or motels here I think is still dam site cheaper than UK so easier to have some time away for not a lot.
On the Daily Mail front what did you think were the biggest changes? I watch Sky UK news out of interest to what is happening in UK but it still doesn't give you the real impression of what's going on.

News like a bit of doom and gloom as it must be strangely because that's what sells the most papers and gets the shows watched. At least it's world wide doom and gloom at the moment.

Crime in Australia...PMSL...they don't know the meaning of the word. Crime here in our area at least is way way lower than anything you would have in the UK.
Look at all the trades men who leave Ute's full of gear outside houses and in shopping centres and it's there when they get back. In UK the gear would be gone along with the Ute.
I've managed to find nice pants in Aus and think it's a great country overall despite it's little foibles.

(me thinks stepford wives)
if you read between the lines most of the mbuk is about family and money as most of life is, and oz gets the stick for peoples frustration at times when they fell insecure about what they are doing or going in life,

I'll ramble but won't do the hate mail as I feel no need to go into MBUK or to go or move back to the UK.
