That's all my mother had.
I used to turn the wringer (mangle) handle for her as she fed the washing through.

I don't remember but the rollers were not rock hard.
They did give a bit so were made of a hard rubber I guess.

Yes I vaguely remember the rollers being coated in something rubbery. Surprised your mum still used those things. But I can remember a time when it was fairly common for people not to have washing machines. Most used to do their washing at the laundromat. Almost every parade of shops used to have a laundromat once.

That's just reminded me of the forerunners to the twin tub machines that also came with an electric mangle. My dear old nan had one of those too. :D She was quite a gadget freak in those days :wub:
