Yep - untill very recently a 2 year TAFE Diploma (which did not admit you to a CPA course) was acceptable as "accountant"

I know lots of people who got in this way.

This must have been how my 'accountant' became qualified, given the standard of the work.

Is there anyone you don't know? You always seem to "know" someone whose circumstances fit every thread. From the woman with the drinking problem to the students who did TAFE courses to become "accountants.

Just asking like.

My wife just finished a TAFE diploma in Accounting. Ultimo TAFE.

I know a lot of her fellow students. They have been to our home for dinner, I have been drinking with them, been to birthday parties etc.

The last time was a drink with a Thai girl and a Chinese girl a week ago. The Thai girl failed her tax accounting subject and will have to redo the semester. The Chinese girl is going to Macquarie University this semester to complete a Commerce degree.

I can provide photographs as proof if required. Or would a Stat Dec do. :)

They are so hot they smoulder. – especially the Thai one, who needed much consoling after her failure to understand taxation.

“Eet me Enlush Meesta Slaphead, I no unstan enough”. Sob Sob.

“There there, don’t you fret, I can help you with your English. Some private lessons what what!”.

Up comes my wife – “why you got hands on classmate?”

When I first started reading your post I though she was asking you to eat her.

That would be a quick way to end your marriage.

I have no knowledge of Mr Chews Asian Beaver, nor am I currently disposed to discuss such a website, if any such website does exist.

Paraphrased from Apocalypse Now.

Zero to PR in around 2 and a half years, pretty good going if you had nothing to offer the country!! All whilst living in the country already, what's easier than that?

It has all changed since we've came over, now looking at around 5 years in total but IF we manage to get PR at the end up, it's still less time than it would have been re-training and gaining enough experience and then waiting for a visa to get over.

Cheers

17 months of study for me.

Had me head checked recently too and funny enough all good ... :)
