Useless things not to take to Oz...

We're heading for Brisbane and have a Galileo thermometer, which looks all nice and shiney, but the problem is it only goes up to 24° Celcius.

What other things should we not bring if we have them?
What things did you take over but never used?

I brought my winter coats. Haven't used them in Brisbane at all, some nights need a light jacket or cardigan but never my winter coat. When my mum came over before Christmas I sent them back with her so that they are in England when I go back for holidays.

I brought mine much to my husband's despair. We were in Brisbane for 2 weeks before he was offered work down near Melbourne. What do you know? I wore them lots!!!!

My UK yellow pages made it to Perth. In one huge box all by itself. Most annoying as my kettle and toaster were left behind and came with our overspill 3 weeks later!

Except for a few areas I would think that a windscreen scraper wouldn't be much use.

I have a range of real Scottish winter gear. Fleeces, thermal underwear, low temp sleeping bags etc! I put on one of the fleeces last winter and was sweating buckets within 5 minutes!
