I reckon it's not a good way of cleaning money - you tend to lose it and thus outweigh the effort in gaining it. Far better to launder it.

I loved the bookies at the races when I worked at Belmont and Ascott in WA as a teenager - they always gave good tips.

Cleaning dirty money is done by false betting and false payouts
