For those evenings when you don't want to cook or get into the car to pick up a takeaway....and don't want a Dominoes pizza, what elase can you get? We live in Auchenflower. Any ideas please........ need something tonight. Chinese, Indian, Thai or even another pizza company.....anything really. Just some nice food. At times like this, I miss Brighton.

Sorry! Am in Auchenflower, Brisbane and yes, am looking for a delivery. I just had a look online and have found an Indian in Musgrave Rd, Redhill called Nataraja that deliver so will probably give it a go. Anyone heard of it? Will let you know how it goes.

Don't you get endless leaflets in your mailbox advertising local take-aways that do home delivery?
We have a collection of literally dozens which all get filed on top of the microwave for just that purpose. Whenever I don't want to cook, I just do a quick flick through the leaflets.
We have a choice of Chinese, Indian, dozens of Thais, Vietnamese, chicken, Italian, ribs, Turkish as well as least 10 different pizza joints.
I guess it doesn't help if you're in Brisbane, though..

We get a few leaflets but not that many and so far it is only Dominoes that deliver.
I rang the Indian place I found online yesterday that deliver but there was no reply!! Gutted! The menu looked so good too. Shame.

Most restaurants are shut on Monday, so the Indian may have been shut when you called.

Not been there yet but a friend of mine did last year and thought it was very good. It is on our 'to do' list.
We went to the Kenmore Tavern a long time ago, the lamb shanks were just divine. We went back there a while later, had the lamb shanks and the meal was inedible, so much so that they didn't charge us. We haven't been back since.
Have you been there lately?
It would be great to know that they have picked up again. It was a handy place to go for a funcional dinner.

I've lived here for eight years and I can count the times on one hand I've been to the KT, it's awful. The food is overpriced for what it is and it's like eating in a big barn, there's no atmosphere at either the restaurant bit or the pub bit. Such a shame as it would be nice to have a decent pub to pop to.
The Indooroopilly Hotel is definitely better in the food stakes and quite reasonable too.
Plum (also at Kenmore) used to be good but has gone right off also. We used to eat there a couple of times a month but the food is so bad now we've stopped going.
Have you been to My Thai? Wondered what you thought?
Sprout is on our 'to do" too, must check it out!
