Going to see the Opera House and Harbour bridge, surely two of the most iconic things in the world. If it was England they'd probably try to fence them off and charge a fee to get in.

Botanic gardens
Wildlife
Parks

And for the record I'd like to tell you that getting the marriage license is now free, as of earlier this year.

All of the festivals, and there are heaps around Mellie
Public transport on NYE and some other holidays
Stacks of parks/ botanic gardens/ etc etc etc so many in Mellie
Science works (free kids)

Tonnes of stuff....

Although the snow resorts still charge in winter.

Coolart wetlands is another of the now free parks with historic buildings to wander around. I can recommend it as a good place to have a picnic and do some bird watching (even if you're not into watching birds).

No, most rentals in Qld allow for free water usage up to a certain level, you'd only have to pay if you used a lot above that.
