Explain the reasoning that we are biological computers. What makes us human would be emotion and what we're made of. The ability to develop new ideas and concepts. A computer is just a calculator on steroids. You can say we're like in some ways but you can relate pretty much anything that way. The appendix is like burtreynoldsisonit because we don't know what it does. It's just there and is harmful when popped. See?

On second thoughts, I *don't* want any of what you are on. It just makes you irrational.

Over and out.

Explain the reasoning that we are biological computers.

Every cell runs its own little programme (coded in the DNA) and together the body very intricately supplies each cell with the resources it needs to continue generating energy to keep running its own little programme. Cells can send messages to surrounding cells, some special cells can send messages straight to the central super-computer (they are the ones with satnav phones!) .
The central super computer is extremely clever and complex, adapts itself depending on use & experience, building new connections where required and allowing old ones to gather dust... every little message sent back from the cells (whether visual, auditory, sensual, pain, taste) is processed and crosschecked against the memory bank to determine a response.
Responses may involve instructing cells to cause movement (e.g. of limb away from fire) or instructing hormones to be released which will modify the programmes of certain cells...

Really when you think about it everything you do is a response that your brain has concocted. So much of it is automated, and based on previous experiences, that it's debatable how 'independent' you really are - what is 'you' after all? Just a bundle of neurones and synapses?
