My Sony TV has a picture but no sound. I can not change the settings into Europe hence why it does not work. What a waste of me shipping it. Its a Sony Triniton TV btw. Does't work through the DVD player either as teh 2 DVD's I have don't have an airial in bit.

Get a set-top box for $30 from Aldi or somewhere and play it through that.

What you might be looking for is PAL B/G support on the television setup menu (in the absence of country specification) if you want it to receive picture and sound via a standard aerial connection in Australia. You will be able to receive video regardless if it is only capable of PAL I (UK derivative of PAL) but you will need to route the aerial signal via a video recorder (or similar - DVD or tape but it does require a receiver input for the aerial) to get the sound output also.
