Mine, all boys, were quite nice till 16/17 I thought I had a lucky escape:rolleyes: my mate with 3 girls, similar ages, were going off like hormonal banshees, screaming, running away, slapping people, telling the parents to die!!! the works:eek: was amazed at the difference in boys.....

Then they turn 16 and the big male dominance/hormone thing kicks in, with teen attitude:eek: Talk about smart arsed.

The youngest is only 14 so I probably have Psycho 3 to endure yet...

BTW warning:D moving to australia does not cure this problem.

Well I thought moving to Australia DID solve the problems for me, but today all it meant was that it was 3.40am our time when my 16 year-old niece called me in hysterical tears and asking me to "talk to (her) Mam" and sort something out. :sneaky:

We are all unreasonable demanding bastards.

Just the other day I was reprimanded for not hand washing a new top.

I have to nag to have the (teens own) dog fed.

I think there is potential for new life forms among the bedroom debris.

Arising at midday is an early start.

No one else has parents as strict as me.

No one else knows what they want to do after grade 12.

Everyone else spends 9 hours on facebook.

Everyone else has parents who bought them their own new car on turning 17.

No one else is expected to do a chore round the house - ever.


One that really gets me, is grade 12, no HOMEWORK. EVER!

Did I mention the hair:rolleyes: currently banned from driving my truck as his fringe/bangs is past his nose, he cant see but !!! The ladies find that sexy apparently.

Stop screaming!! teenage description of parent using normal speaking voice or polite request.


AND

One just told me I would be more chilled if I got more sex :lol::lol:

Hard not to laugh, thinking of hiring some hugely hung male black escort and thumping round the sofa with him just as they arrive home:lol:

Why have I got no clean boxers? Err, because they are all on the floor in your room perhaps?
When are you going to do some ironing, I've got no t-shirts!? Perhaps you could iron one yourself seeing as you have not expended any energy whatsoever during the last 2 weeks!!! To which I got the reply that staying in bed until lunchtime & playing playstation all afternoon is in fact hard work!!!! Gee, I know nothing!:rolleyes:

You just can't win with all these wonderful parents out there that their friends all have!They have more money to spend on the little darlings(well that is not hard!)don't care what their children are up to,care more now how the last two go together I don't know:confused:

My 14 year old wants clothes washed for the camp she is going on.I said I will wash them on Wednesday when the weather is meant to be better.She informed my I should get a dryer which I replied maybe I could have if her camp had not cost us $150!She is full of helpful advice like that.

Though she does have her good points like starting her first job soon and offered us her first wage bless her not that we would dream of taking it.

Oh no don't say it just gets worse, my 12 year old has fully embraced his teenage years a year too early and loves to flounce out of rooms, slamming doors and telling us all how life is so unfair... He starts high school In January and honestly he doesn't have enough common sense to even make it to the bus stop, god knows where he is gonna end up each morning but his attitude will get him somewhere no doubt.

He made me laugh the other day, he was convinced his voice was breaking and was quite indignant when I laughed and told him " not that is just the hiccups!" more slamming of doors ......:D
