I'm drinking a tot of peat bog smoked whiskey but all I can taste in my mouth is the smoke.

It's not like the whiskey my Granny used to drink.

I knew I should have bought a bottle of Irish Mist and Drambuie when in duty free.

Can't help you there I'm afraid, I know nothing at all about Adelaide.....except that a friend of mine from Northants says his mum went there a few years back and said it reminded her of Kettering in the 1950s....
Oh and I had a brief encounter (thankfully very brief) with a guy back in Sussed who had family in Adelaide....he said (and this really is a quote)......."We went and visited them one year, it were better than that Portugal we usually go to cos they spoke the right lingo, but the chips weren't up to much" - never forgotten it, he really did belong to the crowd of holidaymakers that want egg and chips and English lager wherever they go.....He was a West Ham supporter, explains a lot :D

Hope I haven't put you off yet

I had a boss who loved them, used to take us all to a Chinese place in the Valley in Brisbane for lunch and he would chew his way through a plate of them every time  Very strange!
