Just to point out, Netflix have announced that they start up business in Oz on the 24th March. Price still expected to be $9.99

On the negative side, its sounding like this will also be the roll out of their tiered pricing model - getting you to pay more for HD/4K and multiple streams at once.

Does anyone get FoxSports via anything other than Foxtel and Telstra T-Box?

I really want to ditch my Foxtel.

I have Fetch TV, and they have Setanta (now BeInSport or some such) and ESPN/ESPN2. I have no idea how these compare to Fox though.

I don't watch much sport, but ESPN is good, as they do show the Snooker and Darts - you know - real sports, for proper athletes...

:)

Yeah I'm after Rugby (Super on Fox) and the World Cup Cricket (a lot of Fox) and sometimes the English Premier League.

If I could pay for stuff when they occur I'd be happy

Ah, you don't want the ongoing subscription for a load of sport you won't watch...

Sport on demand. There probably is a market for that, but the problem is that the rights all get wrapped up into subscriptions. And you can't torrent it either...

I imagine it will come, but not yet...

Fox want to bleed their subscribers first.

Yeah exactly. I need to find a better way. For the experience of paying your monthly subs they offer very little. I don't mind paying but if they threw in more I could justify it.

Looks like HBO may be going stand alone

Just under AUD20 a month, which is not bad but having to get a sub-par Apple TV grates

Interesting to see how this goes

HBO streaming service could launch in April for $15 per month, work on Apple TV | The Verge

I'm worried that everyone's internet (or to be more specific MY internet) is going to grind to a halt now the great unwashed are all going to begin watching IP TV.

Enjoying Bosch

Good story and well acted

I'm surprised. I was very disappointed in it. The opening credits are impressive though.

I think I've been spoiled by Breaking Bad and House of Cards seasons 1 and 2. Season 3 not so much.

Yeah, watching HoC Season 3 myself - It's moved a little towards a US version of Yes Minister...
