Questions:
do we have to prove relationship with letters about each other?
if we do, can they be typed or do you have to handwrite them?

Wrote mine out but OH's was typed out.........by me!!!! He did write it though. C x

hi Pomgrrl,

I just started at the beginning, how we met, how soon we decided it was for real, when we moved in together, included bits about holidays we have had, and bits about emotional support oh provided when my dad died and how i supported him through an illness. Also a brief statement regarding financial split between us and how he has been a great substitute dad to my daughter. Not forgetting the fact i love him very much :

Hope this helps

Hiya! I was worried about it at first but it's not that bad once you get it started. Basically I started with, how, when and where we met, how our relationship developed, meeting one anothers family, when we made commitments to get joint bank accounts etc, holidays together, how we split the bills, and basically at the end mentioned our plans for the future (settled down in Australia, buy our own home and start a family)

If you still need help let me know!

Good Luck!!

btw, I started off with 8 pages lol, I just typed everything and then I cut it down to 3

Morning,

i am slowly getting there with collecting the relevant info for the application, yesterday we received the stat decs from Oz police checks are sent for so the last major item on the list to organise is the medicals, i have searched and read thread after thread but i am still confused, if we organise them now but the docs send them straight to Australia House, how do they tie them up with an application which may arrive 3 weeks later do we inform them first to expect them??

any help will be appreciated, thanks.

Hi Struth!

Looks like you're getting it all sorted With the medicals , we had ours done before hand. On the form there is a space for you to tick if you've sent your application in yet, if you haven't it asks where the application will be sent to (Aus House London) and so they just send them there. When they receive your application, they just match up your details with the meds! You also have to write your passport number on the medical forms so I'm guessing thats how they match them up!! It's easy as and I'd definately book your medicals now.

Good Luck!! Let us know how you get on

I think it's because the doc needs to check the x-rays?? and if they are ok you keep them, if not they send them somewhere or another?? please correct me if I'm wrong someone (we were given the x-ray back as all was ok)

You can book them both the same day. We had the x-ray in Bath at 11am, and the medicals at 3pm

Feel free to ask Q's! i know what you're going thru!!
