Son was on my British Passport but now needs his own. Is this a renewal or new app?
After 3 visits to 2 different Post Offices can anyone help! We are travelling back to the UK in 4 weeks and everytime I try to lodge passport applications for myself and the children I am told different things.....getting very anxious. All our passports have expired. My son now 14 was on my old Passport obviously he now needs his own. One office said he was a straighforward renewal as he has a passport and th other said he was a new application....both times it proved irrelevant as the computer systen went down and I couldn't be processed anyway....aaaarrrgggghh!
Has anyone applied for a child who was once on their passport and is it a new application or a renewal??

Common sense would say a new application if he has never had his own passport before.
