Default Silent Pool Pumps

We've been given a Zodiac pool pump with our new pool, which apparently has a noise level of 68db (although there is a suspicious 80db on the pump label).

We had an Onga Silent Flo in our contract, which is 59db, but the installer reckons he's had 6 faulty in a row and has fallen out with Onga....

Does anyone have a silent pool pump?

I've noticed that aside from the Onga one, there's the Davey Silensor. Anyone got one of these?

Alternatively, can anyone vouch for the usefulness of soundproofing the pump/filter equipment?

Ta.

Not sure what all the numbers mean, but in my book, whoever smelt it dealt it.

I've got the Speck Super 90 Series - 90 / 350.

BUT... I am also interested in the usefulness of soundproofing the pump/filter equipment
