That's not desperate - that's cool!
I met Richard Hatch at Dragon*Con this year - he came to a party I was at, and we ended up drinking, along with James Callis, Jamie Bamber and Michael Trucco. That was certainly a very interesting evening! S |

Potential good show "Last Resort" I think. About nuclear submarine going rogue and becoming its own nuclear nation. Around soon I think. Looked at Revolution and first thought was Amazulu's observation - perfect hair and teeth without power. The writing looked passé and tedious as well.

This was also being heavily promoted in the US too. It does look very good. I'm going to torrent and watch I think... S |

I'm still oscillating between angry and disappointed that SciFi have declined to pick up Blood and Chrome - the trailer looks awesome, and it seems to be taking SciFi back to where it should be - not all of these drivelous human relationship angles.

Re: The Sci-fi thread
Some might not know that Alcatraz and Terra Nova, two "glossy sci-fi" programmes I bailed out on after a handful of episodes, have both been cancelled - unsurprisingly most would say.

Sadly nobody - all of the US networks have declined to pick it up. I believe that the Pilot episode has been made, but nobody seems willing to screen that either. There was talk of it being released in an online format. maybe we will get to see the pilot one day, but it's not looking good for a full length series :( S |

Re: The Sci-fi thread
Watched Last Resort - again, lots of potential but lacking with plenty of holes
Ballistic missile subs are not used to pick up special forces Even the shittiest little island nation will have a government - not run by some local warlord Exploding a Trident D5 ICBM 200 miles off the east coast of the US is still going to kill a lot of people, aka sailors We'll see |

I'm here on the 'puter while DD and OH try to catch up with season 3. I'm afraid zombies just don't float my boat.

Re: The Sci-fi thread
Went and saw Star Trek Into Darkness the other night, not in 3D though. Was pretty cool.

I've been catching up on recently released movies lately. Watched Prometheus the other day, which was not as bad as I'd heard. Thought it was quite alright actually. I also watched Total Recall 2012 yesterday, which made me fall in instant lust for Kate Beckinsale. I know what my recall would be! :o |

I overheard 2 20 somethings (they weren't even kids) talking their way through their lives...full of 'like', and this 'show' and that 'show'. It was as if TV defines their day...and their lives. |
