As for sausages, eggs and chips. I have eaten that occasionally for dinner at times in my life when no one could be stuffed cooking a proper balanced meal. It is a fairly well known combination here sold as part of a 'full English breakfast'. Most people here don't eat that sort of thing for breakfast though and it is a pretty stodgy combination for dinner unless you are on a tight budget and that's all you can afford, or as I mentioned no one can be stuffed cooking where it is a very quick and easy meal to prepare.

Cor, you don't half take these things to heart!

I don't think I've ever seen the 'full English breakfast' here. Rather something that looks almost identical and is known as the 'Aussie breakfast' is served...seems popular enough too! Maybe minus the chips...but if you fancy those you could just brush them off your shoulder! ;)

Yeah but lets be serious, no-one would buy it if they called it a full English breakfast, the full Aussie breakfast on the other hand is a national icon :D

Very much so. I remember the ads for it a few years ago and was convinced it was an April fools gag.

Nope. Your post #22 is there in black and white - 'whoever decided a pizza needed an egg ? http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...ilies/rofl.gif'. Well, the Italians when you were trying to say it was Aussies, but don't let that little fact intrude into your little bizarroland fantasy world.

Don't be daft. The Irish copied it when they ran out of spuds.

Irish pork sausages on a full scottish make it partially irish, so no. Plus, the fried potato bread is an irish thing, I think.

We may have copied the idea of 'breakfast' but we then mastered it adding the black and white pudding, I believe.

Tattie scone? No chance...we're claiming that!

I read on the internet somewhere that the full Scottish is actually a poor imitation of the full Welsh without the leeks.

I love black pudding but sometimes wonder, who was poor enough to consider eating congealed blood and oats. :)

I think the Aussies already claimed that.

Turns out Potato bread is french. But, we perfected that also.

The only thing in the world that gets me homesick instantly is the thought of having a proper full irish breakfast. Sure, you can get close to it by making it yourself over here. But its never the same.
