To be honest I miss things about the UK a lot, when in the Uk I miss things about here.

I suppose where ever I'll be I'll always have another home on the other side of the world with things I'll miss.

I never justified what made me happy in the UK and I will be buggered if I will do it here.

I dont find Perth boring, some stuff annoys the tits off me just like some stuff did in England.

And I certainly do not have rose tints on either, our lives are not a bed of roses here or havent been for a while.

But I am happy with my shiny bucket of shit in Perth and cannot imagine living anywhere else - in spite of recent stuff thats happened.

I am not pretending, I am not in denial, its not boring, I do not miss English pubs, I confess to missing some soaps, the clothes shops are not to my taste by I buy them because I need clothes.

Just make the best of what is in front of me.

Everyone has the right to be happy where they live and I feel sorry for those that dont - it must be awful.

Those people annoy me too. You can't possibly enjoy living there, only uneducated f**kwits could possibly enjoy it. I have all but given up posting here these days because of those people and only post if I can answer a particular question. I know it is down to the cyclical nature of these forums but it just gets on my tits so it is best I avoid it.

I reckon that would be a natural and fair thing for all. It would have to happen. I know for a fact that the most die hard complainers would like a bit of the country they generally don't want to be in...I mean living overseas has always been an experience worth doing.

Indeed - but my point is not so much the viewpoint, but the fact that a contrary view has to be wrong, wrong ...always wrong. By definition. For everyone and anyone. No exceptions...sometimes it shows more about the person than the country. Especially when the person should know better.

I do think that arguments get muddled though and people come in at different levels and concentrate on specific things. Nothing is black and white. (But that is an discussion for you). That's why I have often thought that an umpire is required - not a Mod as we know it.

And no I was not a mass debater at school.:thumbup::p

Interesting this because I actually thought that BE was going through a bit of a lull in the warzone that it can be at times. Perhaps its just my perception because I'm not really one of the protagonists anymore... and I certainly used to be.

You never insulted peoples intelligence though just because you were struggling. It is those that see themselves as superior that get on my very ample breasts!

I can actually think of some posters that may really fit the bill of complete 'anti, wrong, wrong, wrong' as we speak. I usually sigh and give up.

You didn't, honestly. There are a number of folk who inhabit the D&G room that think themselves far superior to the rest of us mere mortals just because they have decided that Australia isn't for them. You were never one of those people. Your angst was apparent and yes some of the arguments were legendary but you were never ever personal with it.

The thread that was closed was a new one..in recent times, BE has been quite stable - yet discussion has been allowed.

I get amused by the protaganists who introduce a debit to the balancesheet, as if it is required as a balancing item, but it is a sheet the balance of which only they know...

and treat it as a pre-emptive strike in the Cold War they don't expect to win, so better we all die..MAD...
