If people really think they will get all the info they need from a site like this then they shouldn't be allowed out on their own.

....and I give plenty of useful advice on here.....not simply selective one sided 'statistics'.

Selective Statistics ?

I assume you are being a bit selective, yourself, in selecting which of my statistics to quote as being "selective"...

Some examples of statistics that I quote are Unemployment Rates, House Prices, and such things. Which of my statistics are you "selecting" to try to say I am selective ?
;)

Or is this of course just another game ?

Statistically speaking, it would be very interesting to see what % of my statistics are actually selectively one sided.

Hmm, i'm 95% sure that you are wrong

All of us are actually are one sided at some stage or another, it is something that we can't help. It's like the price of milk, I am very one sided in my attitude to it only costing $1.99 for 2 litres, as that's near enough all I every pay.
It's the same with the weather, some people just don't like to hear that the weather is better in the Bayside (a very one sided comment from me).

It would be a shame if people stopped giving their own opinions on things, but everyone has to accept that someone else may also give theirs, which may be different.

I am fully aware that some people don't like some of my comments, or my figures, that show/prove/question that some things are not black and white after all.

However, I like researching, checking up on things, etc. And if someone says that Australia is xyz, and I can prove that it isn't, then I will do so.

And all done and said with a smile, and no malice, (well except for the very odd 'revenge' occasion ;) )

That's nothing to do with ABC though, that's down to the amount of alcohol consumed. :p

Australia isn't perfect and it doesn't suit everyone and if someone has reservations before they leave then maybe that's telling them something:unsure:

Apologies for dragging this one up...

I can't see how anyone can see Australia as a Fantasy Island - apart from those whose ideal of life is to live in a hot, sunny, tropical environment and can afford to do it, or who can get to work and live against the backdrop of the same. I can't help but get the impression that the sun and the beach figures a bit too much in the needs of the average Brit.

Hutch lives in the country - gets to work part-time in the bustling city. The beach features in his work, in his office window, in his hobby and everyday life. To many that IS their version of paradise..

This will not reflect life for many, even though some will still enjoy it. Others get to live on the terms they like. That's enough for them.

Ultimately, barring misfortune, life is what you make it, here or anywhere.
Realising that, is the key.
