I have been looking after my next door neighbours puppy for 3 weeks while they had their bathroom renovated - I offered and it really was no trouble.
Yesterday my neighbour came round with a $100 gift voucher to say thank you, I did not expect that at all.
Last week I found someones bank/credit card - I think they had just lost it as it was in line with people waiting to withdraw money at the ATM so I returned it to the bank.
Mr PP also found a card last week and did the same, we have also returned a couple of wallets with money it - although how anyone could hang on to someones purse and spend the money is beyond me - if it can be returned then bloody return it, I guess some people have no morals.
Cant think of anything else.

At the ATM, the older woman who was right in front of me just got ticked off with it and walked away and left her credit card in the machine. I found her in the shops and returned her card to her. She was so grateful. Well, what would anyone do otherwise?
Tim Hortons random acts of kindness...there's been a couple of times in the drive through that by the time I got to the window to pay, the worker says, "the person in front paid for your order."
Also, my then four year-old daughter used to go up to the counter in store to buy timbits (um, donut holes to the rest of you) and there were a few occasions that some adult behind her thought that was so sweet and paid for her treats. We joked that she had quite a racket going and should see if anyone would not only pay for her little bag of timbits but her parents' lunch as well...

Along those lines, no good deed goes unpunished. I phoned the transit company once to commend a bus driver who stopped for me away from the regular bus stop, for which I was really grateful (running late and it was freezing outside to boot).
Well, after I gave them the details (bus number, what time it was), they called me back asking me to verify what I told them (yeah, yeah), turns out that bus wasn't supposed to be on the road that day, the driver shouldn't have been anywhere near my stop at that time (he was either running really late or early), so they had a few questions for the driver when he got back.

Driving up a long hill near Béziers (France) we decided to pick up an old woman who had tonnes of shopping. For most of the trip all she did was complain about the English and how it always rained in England. When we dropped her off she gave up a manky tea-towel as a thank-you.

Found three or four wallets/purses over the years and handed them all in... including one purse that had possibly a couple of grand in it.
Only once got some 'payback'. Found a blokes wallet in the coin tray of a pokie, walked to the front of the club, handed it in, walked back to the pokie and won $80 first go.

On my way down into Mexico to pick up some hand made doors and cabinets for my custom home I was building, I came across a US chevrolet suburban with trailer, loaded with atvs and vacation toys, at the side of the road. As it turned out the lady was from England with three beautiful young daughters. The husband was from the US and they actually lived only a few blocks from me in Arizona. Their transmission had burned up and so after towing them to a nearby federal parks compound, we loaded everything they had onto my quadcab and trailer and I delivered them intact to their beach house further down the highway. It had to have been their lucky day, as it was beginning to get dark when I encountered them.
I seldom need help on the highway but when I have there was always someone who stopped for me. Karma perhaps? It was a good feeling anyway.
