A friend of mine is donating some of her blog space for R U OK? this week. It allows people to share their stories if they feel like it.

I don't think it's the contestants that play it up, it's the producers of the show, they try and generate voter sympathy for their favourites. They did it with that d*ckhead Ayltian last year and he won. I'd prefer if they gave limited coverage to their personal lives and let them win the public over with their talent and personality (which a lot of them with sad stories would do anyway because they're often the most down to earth and likeable).
Some of the kids this year seem really talented... two of the groups are amazing. :) |
