..Once I'm at work I have to decide whether or not to cancel a vital appointment I 've got with a guy flying up from Sydney for Thursday... hmmm decisions decisions!

'If it's not a necessary trip, don't make it'. I'd most certainly cancel the meeting. I wouldn't want to land at Brissie on Thursday and then head into the CBD. It can't be that vital surely

Was just down in Auchenflower and saw multiple riverside house pontoons floating down the river. Crowds all around with police just watching the river break its banks in West End and Fairfield. The West End citycat pontoon is gone already. A Brazilian couple told me a boat had just floated by and a full table and chairs. Also said his home town of Sao Paulo was flooding right now as well

Hard to believe by Thursday it will all be under water.

The (large financial) firm I work for in Sydney closed its Brisbane offices today and advised all QLD staff to stay home Weds. All travel to Brisbane has been postponed, I'd do the same (cancel the meeting & stay home) if I where you.

Yeah, we saw heaps of pontoons and some pretty nice boats without a skipper - one was still attached to it's pontoon.

Just wondering if we've heard from anyone or is internet etc cut off due to the flood waters? I'm thinking of Jen1977ni who I know is in Toowoomba but I'm sure there are others too.

Hope they're all ok

Brilliant

I thought of her this morning when they showed the footage on the Beeb, glad all are high and dry (!) for the moment anyway.
