QLD - The Backward State

Re: QLD - The Backward State
Yeah, but it's a referendum about having a referendum. Surely those figures suggest at least having a referendum to decide whether we want it or not. THEN you would get true voter demographics

Re: QLD - The Backward State
If it were 2/3rds of total population of SEQLD it might be but 2/3rds of an unknown but in all probability small amount of people is underwhelming imo. The only people I know of who bang on about having it are a very few Brits on here. Vast majority of friends and work mates are from interstate and none of them want it or could care less.

Re: QLD - The Backward State
Uh Huh. Start work earlier and leave work earlier, oh hang on, I've got to work until 5pm. Whoops there goes that extra hour
Can we please stop this crap about 'oh just pretend it is daylight saving and change your own clocks'. Well, trains don't change, neither do shop opening times, neither do my work hours, neither do all the businesses I have to deal with on a 9 to 5 basis. Neither do the tv programmes I like to watch, neither do my kids school and kindy hours.
So its complete bollox to say just change my hours and get on with it.

A bit like - "NSW - towards 2000". Are they going backwards 10 years - or is it a speed limit they're aiming for.
