I suppose it makes a change...... "Bleedin poms, come over here, feeding our parrots...." How is the job hunting going. I am now in the same boat. My fixed term ends in a few weeks and I wasn't successful in getting the job I have been doing for 3 bloody years. Smack in the face that is. For those who don't know, which is probably most of you, the Convoy is an annual event, put together by truckies, to raise case for disadvantaged kids in the area. There are 500 trucks and 600 bikes currently stretched out all through the Gong to Shellharbour in a massive convoy. The local aviation museum have even arranged to have their pride and joy, 'Connie'; the only remaining airworthy Boeing Constellation, doing flypasts. They expect to raise $500,000 this year. |
