I've asked you before but you've never answered; what's a pygmie?

It wouldn't be, as I suspect, a derogatory name for black people would it?

You do lead a charmed (read protected) life on BE.

Or 'Hope your weekend rock has'

I wonder if it's a Safa colloquialism.
Maybe they say 'rockhas and rollhas'

I wasn't talking about the picture. I was talking about my spelling of the word it's as in it's Friday!!!

And you both missed it because I changed it to it is after Seasider said liberate it and you posted. See post #47 and link.

I have removed the pic as it is wrong. I didn't make the pic either.

I have also changed my word back to it's because it's correct.

Are pygmies black then? the only thing I think of in assocuation with pygmies is people of small stature..... :sneaky:

If you find it offensive, try reporting it, I'm getting a bit fed up with the fact we mods are supposed to be psychic

Positive Friday vibes here :) :) My mate from my old 24/7 job has been headhunted and followed my example, walking out to come and work in the city :sunglasses: Old boss seriously not happy, I can only think 'ahhhhh revenge is soooo sweet sometimes!' :D :D

No there shouldn't! He deleted the offending text - I was not referring to the "it's". All is explained above. Sort of.

Well that killed off the positive vibes, didn't it?

Oh no it doesn't (does not):D

We were talking at cross purposes Caroline.

Elf was talking about his written word - as you are.

We were talking about an apostrophe in an image he posted which has now been removed.

All's good. :sunglasses:

That and the fact that my Dad paid for me to do a private touch-typing course when I was 16 so that "if you can't do anything else, you can always be a secretary".

(Note: I was in the top stream at Grammar School. I'm still grateful to him.)

Go my Dad  Good old Yorkshireman mentality.

Ah, that's also something to be thankful for. My sister rang me (or rather messaged me to ring her) a few weeks ago to say he was insisting on building her a new fence, wouldn't let anybody else anywhere near it. He's nearly 81 and she said, "what if it kills him, will you be upset with me?" I advised her to have him start at the end that had actually blown down and slowly work round, in case that should happen at least she'd have the worst bit done.

Every time I call her I ask if he's still alive, and so far it's good news :)

(One day it won't be, I know, but after last year it's our way of coping with the knowledge that we're going to go through it all again sooner than later.)
