Thank you all! Fingers crossed my meeting is at 10am so plenty of positive thinking required I think.
Will see you all tonight for a chat if you are available? In the chat room? Someone agree a time?
I forgot to get names and phone numbers too at the meet...but I guessed I could get them later as I know where to get you all!?
Take care all and see you later...
I am just waiting now to here about my last shipping quote then can decide which one to go for
TTFN xx

Jeez! That is inflation for you. We paid 4K GBP 18 months ago and thought that was steep. The price of oil I guess? We used Crown BTW and had a lot of problems with them this end but I think we were unlucky / they have improved as I haven't heard too many other complaints recently.

I'm paying £1245 for my 20ft sole use container - loading myself.
Once in Freo I have to pay a further $1000 or so for offloading inspection etc the other end. I have the details of that somewhere i'll try and find them out.
The container will arrive at my house on a lowloader - I get 3 hours to load it, then they take it off to docks.
Gonna be all hands on deck that day to get it all done in 3 hours

From: Mandurah, Perth!!!

Hi, i've sent my app in Nov (495 SIR) still waiting for Case Officer.
Im emigrating with my husband Barrie who is a painter/decorator and our daughter Ebony who is 1. My mam and stepdad are also applying!!!
We are hoping to go to the Mandurah area of Perth, been looking at Secret Harbour it looks lovely. Does anyone know what the other areas of Mandurah are like?? (Greenfields, Dudley Park, Silver Sands, Parklands etc)
Would love to hear from anyone looking to go to the same area or some that are already there.

Can I join in this. We have been in Perth for 2 weeks and having a nightmare with several things we should have researched before migrating. Working with children check, rental property, etc. I would especially love to talk to anyone in Perth with childcare connections. I have posted a new thread on the Barbie forum "working with children". We are staying at places work for room, to cut down expenses until we find work. My husband and I would love to meet up with any expats in Perth for a beer, chat etc. is there any meets arranged??
