Jeez! That is inflation for you. We paid 4K GBP 18 months ago and thought that was steep. The price of oil I guess? We used Crown BTW and had a lot of problems with them this end but I think we were unlucky / they have improved as I haven't heard too many other complaints recently.

Those quotes are for 40ft containers though Ast, most people only take a 20ft and I think they come in at around £3,000 to £3,500

I'm paying £1245 for my 20ft sole use container - loading myself.

Once in Freo I have to pay a further $1000 or so for offloading inspection etc the other end. I have the details of that somewhere i'll try and find them out.

The container will arrive at my house on a lowloader - I get 3 hours to load it, then they take it off to docks.
Gonna be all hands on deck that day to get it all done in 3 hours

PSS (pack your own and then they just send it) So price per box..ideal for smaller amounts, they also do large containers...I have their website here somewhere...Crown Relocations have quoted too let me find them and thats it at the moment....will just post the links below:D

hi aston

we r using robinsons 20ft container professionally packed sole use door to door and take all rubbish away in Perth £3700 + marine insurance (a must) top level of cover including mould and milduew amd full electrical cover £1058, had other quotes from white &co was about £3400 but sales person was not upfront with everything so has put me off and had quote from fox's £3200 but had to pack myself, f@*! that just moved before xmas and was hell with 3 kids
Robinsons have been recommened by other friends and the sales lady was upfront with all costs that may have at Perth.

Hi, i've sent my app in Nov (495 SIR) still waiting for Case Officer. :frown:

Im emigrating with my husband Barrie who is a painter/decorator and our daughter Ebony who is 1. My mam and stepdad are also applying!!!

We are hoping to go to the Mandurah area of Perth, been looking at Secret Harbour it looks lovely. Does anyone know what the other areas of Mandurah are like?? (Greenfields, Dudley Park, Silver Sands, Parklands etc)

Would love to hear from anyone looking to go to the same area or some that are already there.

What type of rental are you looking for, and which part of perth. References for rentals are not normal a problem as a new arrival, so long as you can how an ability to pay the rent, and any how you should be able to use you uncle. (I have read other post)

Have Pm you re Thursday, hopefully you will come along and hopefully we maybe able to help or at least point you in the right direction of help.
