Hi Nige and Olly

We got our CO allocated today!!!

We sent our visa application in Dec and there was months of preaparation before that.we probably first decided on going and got our first look at the app form in April 06 and then had to be validated by our respective professions n Oz for skills assessment ,including the nursing council losing all my documents once!
after that the ball ache is getting all the info required together and signed by a magistrate which takes some time. after dec and the visa went it it was quiet for a while ... and now we're at the stage of gettting medicals and putting house on market.
cant believe how time is flying
dont know know if that is similar to most people but that how its been for me.

my advice would be to try not to put times on things too much to avoid unnecessary stress, oh and do lots of photocopies of everything cos you may have to duplicate stuff if you have to get validated for skills assessment.

You ever been to Perth?
Julie:)

Hi Julie, (cowpeys)

Nope, never been to Perth, hopefully doing recceeeeeeee in a few months time.
We're trying Skilled - Independant, although the back up plan is that olly is training as an accountant, so if it doesn't work this time around, we will try once she has qualified and completed 12 months on the job:blink:

Have downloaded all the forms onto my computer, been through them lots and lots and lots, yes, have just got new pack of paper for the printer, 500 sheets aught to do it???????????

Anyways, I have my boys this weekend, so can't get on the computer...much....

When we were in Perth on our visa validation trip we hired a car from these people: http://www.selfdrive.com.au/

We were very happy with them and will use them again when we move later in the year.
