I always have this dream when I am stressed!! I used to get really bad stage fright and would have this dream the night before performing (only at college, not a famous actor doing research on this thread or anything!!). I think the fact that you were loosening the teeth with the monkeywrench means you are trying to control a/the situation. Most situations can be controlled but some you have to leave in the lap of your gods.

Thank God it if Friday, everyone!!! Enjoy your week-end!!!
I have a week off next week too:thumbsup::thumbsup:
I sooo want to give my notice in (having day dreams about the moment all the time:wub:) but am torn as I wonder how long I can live on the elation without an income, knowing that spending any savings is wasting Oz initial rent money, and what if blah, blah or blah happens with my application......but I have taken to checking the August timelime/thread and things are hotting up! I reckon I could have a visa by JUNE:eek:

But having to give three months notice means I couldn't leave for Oz in August which is when I want to WITH a good reference. There is going to be a critical point in May when I will have to take the plunge, probably without the assurance of a visa, so that I am free for August - at that point I might need a push, peeps. Who has any experience of giving someone a push - say like out of a plane, speeding car, boat, that sort of thing??? I may need you!!!

SO SO Sweet!! :p

I've got to ask my current boss for proof of work experience!!!

How I'm going to do that I don't know.

But I'm considering going over on a WHV about 3 months after applying for my visa, so I won't have long there if he doesn't like it.

What's everyone up to this weekend? Quiet night in with a jar of honey and a spatula for me tonight.

Don't understand - have you not been doing any worK??? Or have you not been there that long? Is proof for your application? If so, just get him to write a testimonial or reference related to each of the key tasks/responsibilities on your job description - at least that's what I did - and make sure it matches the description of your "skilled occupation" as far as DIAC is concerned. You have got itchy feet, haven't you!!

Sorry, I meant, how do I ask him without him knowing I'm going. I've worked there for 5 years so no probs with the amount of time.

Quiet one for me. May go and watch Cloverfield in the cinema. I got a bit messy in the pub last weekend so will stay away for a while.

I just said to my boss this is something I'm thinking about doing far, far in the future - don't suppose i'd be eligible but interesting to find out - not even saying I'd go if I got a visa - have you ever thought about it?? - blah, blah - very nonchalant. Most firms these days insist on having a name and address to send something like that to (no more "To whom it may concern..." unless you are lucky) so you will have to be upfront to a degree. How do you feel about that?
