Default No point in cleaning the house

According to HIM, there is no point in cleaning the house this weekend, HE has the week off and plans to do it wednesday/thursday.. So that its clean for when the Grey Nomads arrive.... In HIS word... It'll only get messed up again...

Now I'm thinking... If we clean up the house this weekend we have a couple of child free days to do something together in....or do nothing together in... And having a messy house does my head in... So HE will have to live with a rattier than usual woman for an unecessarily extended period of time.....

In my years I've found that having an extended deadline simply means the task expands to fit the time available and we cease to be efficient.....

Unfortunately we gave got to the fiddly finishing off stage of the Nomads rooms... Cant see any real difference, but HE is VERY busy doing what appears to be nohhing much....

At the end of the day... HE's the one doing it... So I'll just stay out of it....

For now

I normally do housework on a Saturday but Mr PP is off today so we went shopping, I hoovered as the parrot keeps lobbing her corn at the cats head (on purpose) and stuck a load of washing on but I will probably just hoover again tomorrow and do a big clean next week as I am feeling pretty crook and needing painkillers so wont do much this weekend.

I hate a messy house and because our house is small, with a cat, dog and parrot - I need to keep on top of the cleaning. Mr PP said he washed and hoovered the floor yesterday but I think I do it better.

I do my big clean on a Friday as I don't want to be cleaning all weekend. I have my little routines during the week but Friday is my all day thingio.

Nothing like a new vacuum to make you disgusted. Anyone owning dogs I highly reccomend the" Bissell lift-off multi cyclonic PET. Unbelievable at picking up fur.

I had a "cleaning lady" about 4 years ago... after ONE week she was offered a job working on the buses.... We stayed friends, she's part of my quilting group on tuesdays....

Then she Packed her job in and has been unemployed for 6 months..... So three weeks ago I ask her to come back and clean for me.... She did one week and guess what? She got offered a job on the buses again, but for a rival firm...

Apparently I'm her lucky mascot

Well, OH is about to depart for work, so I'm off to clean the toilets- after I've let them "air" for a while.

Oh the joys of being a wife.

Today I am sorting through the 300 odd books he found piled next to my bed... A trip to the op shop may well be in order
