You'll love it! We first went in 2000 travelled up the East coast for 8 weeks for our honeymoon with our then 2 year old, here we are 7 years and 3 more kids later finally in a position to emigrate.

you'll only ever regret the things you don't do!

Yes, small world indeed. Will your husband retrain/ join there/ do something less interesting instead? I cannot imagine giving the job up, though it has chaged alot since I first joined. Less fun!
Ahh, but Oz does have it's own special different scenery of course.
Anyway, enjoy your journey and new chapter when it arrives

Hello Townies, I've not been around here long but it seems to me that this is one good place to hang around, specially when you are there and you want to be here

I was down the Academy at Joondalup the other day; very impressive. I had to see a new recruit just over with a batch of them from the UK............ if your hubby is in the same boat as him it looks like he has a lot of study and plenty of exams ahead of him?

No tips I am afraid, could not bear to be away from England so we came back. Luckily on career break here so kept my job. A colleage went last year, says it's same job but sunnier! Good luck.

you were brave doing all that travelling with a 2yr old! we have 3 kids, and they are all excited and positive about the move. i just feel guilty depriving them of their grandparents.
