Because they are 4WD they can be heavy on fuel consumption, but otherwise, typical Subaru for reliability.

oops using my daughters PC didnt realise that hers auto logged her into BE
hence deleted rock_angle post

mines 0-60 5.6 secs ( straight from the factory )
dead reliable and enormous fun on twisty roads

Hey thanks for the replies....
An imprezza would be nice but cant afford the insurance, for something that is likely to be nicked!
Gonna email the dealer just now and tell him what we want..... wish me luck!

For the price I would be more tempted to go for the bigger 3.0R Outback.
But you can't go far wrong whichever Subaru you drive..

Well deal is done - Bert is having his mid life crisis (so he says) and needs the turbo - I'm may have to lose 10kg, die my hair platinum blonde and get some botox, in order to meet the other 'mid life crises' requirements
Should have the car by end of the month - irish teen, I know where you can get a second hand Hyundai Santa Fe at about the same time - it's slightly cheaper than the Subaru too!

know exactly where your coming from
I`m 44 and several people commented on the mid life crisis bit when i bought my imprezza
but it really is a load of fun to drive
i luv it when someone tries following me round a corner
the scubies drive as if on rails
