Default Need a holiday place on the sunshine coast

My better half wants a few days away... so we're trying to find a self contained resort on the sunshine coast. We've looked at the Twin Waters joint and was wondering if anyone has been to any other self contained resorts in and around the sunny coast.

By self contained I mean you don't have to go anywhere else if you don't want. Hopefully there are a variety of restaurants and bars within the facility.

Twin Waters is ok i find, as it has a lagoon for water sports and kids and golf for the golfers . Downsides is there's only 1 bar and restaurant in main building and Lily's on the lagoon which was exy when we were there. There's a couple of restaurants/takeaways a km or so along the road as well

Not been but what about Clive Palmers place or Rumba resort in Caloundra

It's ok, but there isn't much else around there. There are always plenty of self contained apts. block in Alexander Headland and Mooloolaba, usually only with a pool, but with the beach on your doorstep, and bars and restaurants.
Coolum might be a tad expensive.

We had a 2 bedroom self contained apartment. Its located in Alexander Headlands, about halfway between Maroochydore and Mooloolaba. In fact, you can walk to either in less than half an hour, which we did quite frequently. Theres a few restaurants/shops etc in AH and also the surf lifesaving Club which do excellent meals.
