its an everyday thing that a lot of people do
to own a boat in the uk i`d probably be perceived as posh or minted?
its more of a rich mans pastime in the uk

i did help take a 56 foot viscount to Sydney two years back i couldn't have afforded the fuel it took as it was running at 153 liters an hour

Yet to go on someone's boat despite being here for 4 years. Unless you go on a tinny, it is the preserve of those with cash to spare...ie both our neighbours. They spend hours cleaning the things noisily and the smell of petrol fumes is horrible.

If you go down to places like Chichester or the isle of wight every other person seems to have a boat. I've got to be honest on boat ownership and pricing I'm no expert, but there seems to be no shortage of boat ownership in evidence when I visit any part of the UK or european coastline...

Ive been on boats around SA. Fantastic experience, 1million more times better than the UK and boats are my Hobby.

in au its nearer 6 percent with some coastal areas like the GC, Perth,and Macay being as high as 11 percent

The family behind us in Brisbane had a boat, it was a nice boat but they hardly ever used it. I must admit I was thinking about getting a boat and naming it The Money Pit.

there's lots of boats in the harbour where we are ( hope ) that dont ever seem to move, its a huge waste of money to be sure,
