i`ve been on holiday to fraser and it was fantastic a real must do for anyone with a 4x4;)
and if and when we are able to upload piccies again i`ll post my fraser update

almost a week and yep the sand was chuffin deep in parts hence the rope ;)

having freezed me nads off for the last two months we have finally fitted the log burner ;)



its a really shrunken update as we are on mega crawl at the mo ;)

Gorgeous Steve, we are in the process of fitting one of them (just need a red tape licence !!). Is your hearth actual bricks ? Our room is currently carpeted and we've been looking at what to put under the fire.

yep concrete pavers laid directly onto the slab
the last row being stuck down with no nails and finished of with some of the oak left over form the kitchen, sand is then spread over the pavers to "lock" them in

bloody site cheaper than the 350 bucks quoted for the pre made hearth at the fire shop ( and in my opinion it looked crap compared what we have ended up with )
