I'm going back to Brisbane :D

They call it heating.

It doesn't actually heat anything though :D

We just bought a plug in radiator to help.........my friend keeps telling me that Kathmandu have a sale of of their thermals at the moment, another keeps extolling the virtues of electric blankets.........are you getting the picture?

In the UK, I never bought woolly jumpers as it was always toastie indoors. I am currently on the lookout for a nice thick jumper!

We have a gas heater in the living room - that's it. The rest is at the mercy of the elements - can't say I notice it too much, apart from the windows I think my place must be relatively well insulated (it takes a long time to get hot inside during summer heatwaves as well).

Winter here is cold but nowhere as cold as in the UK - however it often feels colder as the houses aren't designed with the same insulating properties as I guess it's not deemed necessary!!!

I actually love winter, love dressing up all warm and snug it is much easier to get warm when it is cold than it is to cool down when it's too hot.....

Plus the end of winter brings spring a time for new beginnings :)

I guess that's why we live in Melbourne - the seasons bring a sort of balance into life... Just a bit odd that they are backwards.

You can buy melatonin in some countries, it is used as a treatment for Jetlag but as with every medication has side effects.....

To keep warm and boost your mood how about going for a nice long walk in the evenings with someone special and then going home to a nice cup of hot chocolate and a cuddle on the sofa.... The cold weather is a really good excuse for sharing body heat you know ;)

Bloody cold here today. Didn't get over 15 degrees  Mind you, I guess it can't have been too bad, we had no wood in the house and I couldn't be arsed to go outside to fill the box up, just put another pair of socks on. The husband's got the fire going a treat, probably up to 20 degrees now

I'm certainly loving being in an apartment and no longer a draughty old, tiled-floor cottage at this time! So far we've had one heater on for a few hours in the evening to take the chill off the lounge - none in the bedrooms at all.

New office is another matter. Yesterday almost everyone worked in their coats, a lot wore hats, and my teamie also had on fingerless mittens  Ah well, the price you pay for a lovely warehouse conversion. :)
