Moved or moving to Adelaide 2008!
 

Hi I am trying to create a list of people who have already moved or will probably be moving to Adelaide in 2008. The idea being that hopefully more of us can get involved in meetings on the other side. It would be nice to make some friends once we arrive.

Hello, we moved over to Adelaide 6 months ago. There is a thriving expat group already over here already. Im going to my first meet on the 29th (cant wait) Do a search for Wendy, she seems to be the ringleader of the motley crew!!!:)

Me and the hubby are hopefully moving to Adelaide this year, would be great to meet new people on here before we got there.

We are waiting on an answer at the moment, the wait is hell !!!

Hopefully this time in 2 weeks we will know, and then, Adelaide here we come :thumbsup:

We're heading for SA - I don't know if you'd call it Adelaide or not - we're county folk so it's the Fleurieu Peninsula for us. Though on our reccie trip we did find a great chinese in Adelaide city that we'll be revisiting.

Oh no you dnt want any of this shite weather..............we have all battoned don the hatches for some big storm that is sposed to be landing over night.:eek::eek:

Tie the weather down for us please wendy.............even if its just a weeks worth. lol.

We cnt wait to get there Wendy we had shippers round to pick up some boxes 22 altogether.

we are just waiting on contracts being signed on our house and hoping to complete in next 6 weeks so we too will be coming to adelaide sometime in april/may dependant on when house completes, no flights booked until we have contracts signed cos we dont wannna jinx anything, but we gotta be there before 31st of may cos thats when we have to validate our visas by and its my 40th birthday on the 24th may and i will hopefully be celebrating it over in oz:) should know soon when contracts being signed cos everything else is in order

will let ya know once we know a certain date

its all been a mad rush for us nothing for 7 months cos house wouldnt sell and now looks like next 8-10 weeks will be mental:blink:

still we dont mind as long as we get there :)

OH and I hope to be in Radelaide (its what the local 20/30 somethings call it!) Sept/Oct 2008!!! He moved there in 1989 but we're both originally Irish!! Can't wait to walk past Rundle Mall's Balls and go swimming down Moana Beach!!

snow Snow SNow SNOw SNOW S.N.O.W. would be lovely right now!! (Do you think the heat is getting to me at all?? :rofl::rofl:)

I hung my washing out at 10.30 PM tonight and it was dry at 11.15PM not just dry crispy!! Seriously melting here today and tomorrow I see is heading for 41!!

I wouldnt normally mind to much as we have a pool but tonight it was like getting into a big hot bath! Not refreshing at all!!

Anyway not whinging just commenting before anyone gets on their high horse! :blink:
