Well, puddytat, I feel the need to stick up for that version of "Lilac Wine" (and the original come to that) ... I'll also defend David Gray too, I am quite partial to his cover of "Say Hello, Wave Goodbye" ... not an upbeat song, granted but it's up-lifting for me in the same way I find some blues (REAL blues) up-lifting.

Anyway, each and everyone to their own.

So, at this moment, with three quarters of a bottle of verdelho inside of me and some extra-strength liquor from the Tamborine Distillery (highly recommended visit, Queenslanders), what would I want to hear least?

"Dancing In the ****ing Moonlight" by Toploader ... apart from it's inherent shiteness it reminds me of that weasel Jamie Oliver.

Now I shall exorcise that by playing "Enjoy Yourself" by Prince Buster at high volume ... on headphones ... I am a responsible father divvent'ya'know?

Oh and that supposed 'game' of rugby was the reason I am a convert to League ...

I left my cake out in the rain (Mc Carthur Park) I have never been able to work out what the *%#@# that song is about.
There is one by the early Bee Gees that is enough to leave you hanging.... its called ....
