I was just reading this online in UK.
Looks like it is a ransom thing as it is purportedly to extract money from her very wealthy parents.
Who would do something so awful to a child/teenager - in fact who would think of doing something so horrible to anyone?

It never ceases to amaze me the horrors one human being will inflict on another.
The police aren't releasing much information to the press about what happened so it will be interesting to see how this pans out. There may be more to it than meets the eye.

They have just released on the TV news that there wasn't any explosives found in the device.
