I was born on Craddock road, just off city road, S2
Then moved to Algar Rd, Arbourthorne in 1972 (small child)
moved to Shoreham street in 1986
then to hackenthrope 1990

I was one of those hairy smelly students, probably with a garden full of empty beer cans too! 92-97.
I do love that part of the country though, and return from time to time. It changes so much.

This is what happened to that particularly lazy cow makes my bloody blood boil - My gran - 88 - has all on trying to keep her garden smart - she really should move to a bungalow or sheltered housing but then the council cannot seem to sort that one out! All our family chipped in to buy her a lawnmower a few years ago and help her to keep it smart - she has even paid someone out of her own pension to come round and they ripped her off and stole the f***ing lawmower - B****s. then this stupid lazy cow gets the makeover ......... read on.......

An eyesore garden in Sheffield has been transformed after being given a Ground Force-style makeover.

Kind-hearted Kevin Henley-Smith, who owns N&K Boundary Fencing and Landscaping Services in Rotherham, took pity on Leanne Humphries after she was slapped with an injunction by Sheffield Council forcing her to tidy up her rubbish-strewn garden in Wybourn.

The mum-of-three, aged 22, was warned she faced being jailed if she didn't carry out the work within two weeks.
Before the facelift, Leanne's garden was overgrown, covered in rubbish and there was a hole burned in the middle of the back lawn.

First Leanne cleared empty beer cans, litter and rubbish bags from her unsightly garden and trimmed lawns and hedges with the help of her sister.

Then Kevin, 26, and his pals did an Alan Titchmarsh when they stepped in to put up fences, lay turf and put in plants to brighten up the garden on Maltravers Crescent, Wybourn.

They spent three days carrying out the work.
Kevin said: "I felt a bit sorry for the kids to be honest and I thought they needed somewhere nice to play in the summer.

"We wanted to make it as safe and secure as possible and put up fences to stop people throwing their rubbish into the garden and stop it blowing in off the street."

Leanne said: "I'm really pleased with it. They are really kind to help me out. I couldn't have done this on my own and now the kids have got a nice safe garden to play in when it's summer."

The jobless mum had claimed the mess was not all her fault - because people
walk past her home and throw cans and rubbish over the fence into her garden.
And she said she was too busy looking after three children all aged under five to spend time gardening.

Kevin was supported by Kiveton Turf Supplies who donated turf, Dinnington
Builders Centre, who donated concrete and Dinnington Hire Centre who loaned him a rotivator

actually, may garden is a bloody mess too....wonder if i get a letter from the council he would come round here? the bloke only did her garden for some free publicity i bet.we are awaiting ours being dug over and a drive put in at the moment...they have just got to the bottom of our road so it should be next winter by the time they get up here

her garden is no worse than some round here (i live the next estate on), so i dunno why the council are making such a fuss. theres a house at the bottom of our road that is so overgrown, the postman has to duck to get through the privet! and there are about 5 burnt out wrecks parked round the house.....

Miss seeing the punk bands at the top rank and reading Danny Wilsons comments in the greenun about DiCanio and wiping happy harry haslams smile off his face when the spirites beat um. But apart from that can't really say I'm missing (I'm just remembering Tony Capstick so got to go and vomit)

my dad uses that on just about everything but his sunday lunch, and that's only cos my mother would kill him if he did!

He also uses something called non brewed condiment instead of vinegar! it is made in Swinton next to the school I used to go to (or was) and it is thoroughly disgusting stuff
