Looters

Retailers get looted we the consumers pay the price through higher prices... Same deal with shop lifting.... It is NOT a victimless crime stealing from insured or uninsured shop keeperes... Or anyone for that fact... Not even insurance comapanies through false claims
Disgusting

Some retailers can't get insurance because they are in such a high flood risk area, and in other cases if they can then the insurance (same as for private individuals) is often only for flash floods from rain falling in that location, as some companies will not insure some properties against rising rivers that bring water in from elsewhere.

On the news earlier a girl who'd been evacuated to the RNA, put her bag down to pick up some clothes from the piles on offer and some sleaze made off with the bag. I don't care who takes stuff off who - stealing is stealing and they want the book thrown at them, hopefully whilst it's in a lead box. There's no justification for it and it makes me bloody angry to hear people spout crap about it doesn't matter if it's done to retailers. Retailers are people too.

If any low life wants to steal anything from anyone, they need to get a taste of their own medicine. I'd really, really love to see how scum would feel if someone took their hard earned things when in their darkest hour of need.
Whether some poor buggar has lost their house or their livelihood, no low life scum has the right to go into their home or their business to take what isn't theirs.
End of.

I'd be willing to bet there'll be alot more claims than incidents of looting, you're right retailers are people too, so some are gonna give in to temptation to make a buck out of this, they need hangin with the looters!

I think that anyone that thinks it is acceptable in a disaster situation to steal from shops is really showing their true colours - thieving bastards. Taking the opportunity in a major disaster zone to steal because they can get their hands on electrical items for 'free', is shit.
Pinching a loaf of bread because you have no access to food or because aid cant get through is one thing, but going looting through the shops is another entirely. As I said, true colours coming out there and honestly, what kind of wankwipe thinks that is acceptable?
They do not deserve help, let the bastards fend for themselves because they should be working together as a team for their State and there certainly is no 'I' in 'team'.

hate to disagree pp (
) but stealing a loaf of bread because you have no access to food isn't one thing... Imagine a queue of 300 hungry people and a sack of rice has just been delievered to a feeding station in a disaster area... It happens in developing countries all the time.... Everyone can have a cup of rice that will keep them alive for another 24 hours... But some bugger steals 2 cups, this means one person less gets their cup of rice and dies... tantamount to murder! In times of disaster it is MORE important to keep law and order and maintain a high degree of civilised behaviour.....
