Looters

It seems that the thieves are already out and about, taking advantage and adding to the distress of those already affected by the floods. What would you do if you saw a looter? How should they be punished?

I thought looters were going to be used by the council as flood markers.... Sure I read that somewhere

Personally Mayor Paul Persali has the right idea...turn em into Flood Markers, lowest of the low....

Looting carries with it already a penalty of 5 years imprisonment. In times of emergency, which these floods were declared, its 10 years.
Sounds about right to me.

Make them a Chain-Gang (weighted down by there 'hauls' perhaps?) and get them working hard tidying up the devastation........with compulsory attendance to all flood victims funerals.

Nothing wrong with looting from shops - take the opportunity as it arises - after all things are so expensive in Australia and after all, they will be water damaged anyway.
