51 medals now, 24 of them gold after another gold in the dressage, and the first ever gold in womens boxing in Olympic history.

I know this is a bit late now (well, I try to be current but you know how it goes) but this could help explain some of the intricacies of sailing, for those confused by it all.

(I have to add, I used to sail competitively and I think it's one of the most boring spectator sports there is for about 95% of the race, then it's mad panic excitement for the last bit)

And congrats to the Aussie women's water polo team who won Bronze. Kate Gynther, who is the captain, is a copper at a station close to mine! She's lovely. Big congrats to her and the team
Hope she brings the medal in for show and tell or something!

Was she the one trying to drown the Chinese Girls ? Bet she comes back with a few bruises. We were watching the water polo during our breaks at work. Some really rough stuff there.

Congrats and respect to them all

I think the most impressive thing about the GB team is the incredible spread of sports the medals are coming from, it isn't just all from a particularly strong area.

Swimming and Track and Field are the weak points at the moment. I heard them saying, last night, that they had already started planning for Rio 2016.
