Re: lets talk beer..
Well, if I'm on beer, I usually opt for VB (against popular opinion, this is my fave of all the mainstream Aussie 'lagers') or Pure Blonde.
Cannot stand Carlton Draught. Disgusting
Otherwise it's usually a G&T or a nice cold chardonnay - and I'm not a wine snob, so couldn't tell you my fave one. If it's cold and affordable, I'll drink it
And cocktails....for you Melbourne lot out there, Little Peninsula on Little Lonsdale Street do $7 cocktails all night on a Friday from 5pm to 1am. And they are decent cocktails too. Well worth a trip (although it's tiny, so etting a seat can be a little tricky)

Beer and tomato juice.
sounds discusting but is really good.
Don't waste a good beer like Boags or Cascade or the reall tasty ones though.

[For the record I choose it as my avatar as it was the only real (not that Fosters crap) Aussie lager I could get in the UK from Majestic Warehouse]

mmm.... I'm not a fan of those "dry" beers, they taste wierd. On the plus side, this means I don't drink enough to suffer a hangover.

If you were stuck on a desert island with a lifetime supply of only ONE type of beer - what would it be?
for me - Greene King IPA.
